Otavabandi is being renewed, and changes are taking place within the band. New members are joining, which means that the band’s activities have not come to an end. Instead, after a short break, we are returning to our roots, and the band is beginning a new chapter with fresh members who will undoubtedly bring renewed energy. We would like to thank all former members for their contributions, which have provided valuable lessons and experience, and have helped to further clarify the band’s direction. OTAVA is an electrifying international cover band breathing new life into the greatest progressive pop-rock hits of the 1980s. Founded in Valencia, Spain, this ensemble of virtuoso musicians masterfully recreates the iconic sounds of legendary bands like: Toto, Genesis, Foreigner,  Supertramp, Pink Floyd, Phil Collins,  Europe, Rainbow, and Bryan Adams.

The Finnish term “OTAVA” translates to “Big Dipper” in English. This constellation is made up of seven brilliant stars from Ursa Major. This concept gave rise to the name OTAVABAND for our band.

“OTAVA”, also known as the “Northern Stars,” is often linked to Finnish Lapland, a region famous for its folklore, witches, mysticism, and aurora borealis.
